FANNIN'S MENI. Whence They CameThe small Texan army that was destroyed under Col. James W. Fannin during February and March, 1836, was brought together from all parts of the American Southwest. Its units, considered in order of their arrival at Goliad, were: 1. A detachment of regulars, usually called "Westover's Company," but consisting actually of: Thornton's men became the garrison at Goliad about January 21st. Captain Westover marched to Goliad with Fannin, about February 12th, and became, by virtue of his rank, commander of all the regulars attached to Fannin's command. 2.
