NOTES ON INDIVIDUALS OF FANNIN'S COMMAND

The following notes summarize in the alphabetical arrangement the information which has been gathered concerning the individual members of Fannin's command. There is no pretense to completeness; and though other sources have been consulted, the study has been reasonably complete only as regards:

(1) The Land Office Muster Rolls; cited usually as "LOMR."

(2) The several versions of the Telegraph and Texas Register roster of Fannin's men; here cited as "T&TR Roll."

(3) The Comptroller's Military Service Records, now in the State Library; cited usually as "CMSR."

(4) The Department of State Memorials, also now in state Library, and sometimes cited as "MDS."

(5) Certificates and other documents from the office of the Adjutant General of Texas; found usually in the Land Office or in the Comptroller's Military Service Records, but distinguished by being cited as "AGO."

(6) The files of the Southwestern Historical Quarterly; cited usually as "Quarterly."

(7) The Lamar Papers; usually cited by number only and as "L. P."

The study has included, as a matter of course, careful use of all the usual printed sources of Texas biography
