children are: Hancock Luther Howison, employed by a sulphur company at New Gulf, Texas, single; Margaret Alice Howison, employee of State Hospital at Rusk; John William Howison, Jr., "Jack" is secretary for his uncle, Senator Tom DeBerry; and Helen Elizabeth Howison, student Bogata High School.

4.  Mary Rebecca Howison, "Mamie" married Dr. Clifford McCain, dentist, and mayor of Bogata. Their three children died in infancy.

5.  "Nannie" married Henry D. DeBerry of Bogata. He is a contractor and they moved to Austin about a year ago. Their oldest son died at birth and their other children are: Henry Drew DeBerry, Jr., employed in highway research work at Austin, and Seab Gaines DeBerry, student at A. & M.

Sarah Jane Howison, "Sallie", second daughter of George and M. E. Howison was born January 16, 1859 and died Nov. 5, 1928. She was known and loved by a wide circle of friends and relatives. Her family, her community, and churches were of great interest to her. She knew better than any other one here who was buried in the unmarked graves in the local cemetery. She loved and kept from being cut, during her lifetime, the beautiful, big oaks in the cemetery, and along the main streets of our little town. Once she went to the extent of borrowing a chair to seat herself under the tree that workmen were preparing to cut, stating that she was old and had about lived her
