Samuel Finley Moore married Sallie Latimer Dickson in Carroll County, Tennessee. They came to Texas with the Jimmy Latimer family in 1833, and settled at Shiloh, Red River County. Their children were: Russell Latimer and Samuel James, who never married. He served in the Civil War. Their children were: Samuel Finley Moore and Katherine Moore.

His second marriage was to Mary Virginia Bryarley, and they lived at Clarksville, and Bryarley, Texas. The children by the second marriage were: Joseph Thornton, who never married, Russell Lane, Hettie Mae, who never married, Lulu, who died when young, and Robert Moore.

Samuel Finley Moore [Jr.] married Jennie Walker. They lived at Clarksville and Bagwell. His second marriage was to Lucy Bryarley. They lived at Sulphur Springs. Katherine Moore married Clifton Church. They moved to Dallas and later to Boston, Mass. They had no children. Russell Lane Moore married Regina Turk in the 90's and lived at Bagwell. Robert Moore married in the 1900's and lives in Kansas.

Juliet Moore married Benjamin F. Lynn in Tennessee. They moved to Shiloh, Texas, with Samuel Finley Moore and the Latimers in 1833. Some years later they moved to South Texas where the Stewarts and McLeary's lived. They had no children.
