J. A. Barton was mortally wounded in thigh at Thompson's Station, Tenn., March 5, 1863, and died March 15, 1863.

Dan J. Bagby was elected First Lieutenant in May, 1862, and served as such until his death. He was killed on the battlefield at Iuka, Miss., Sept. 19, 1862.

T. M. Bagby was elected Second Lieutenant, Jr. Time and place unknown. He was afterwards promoted to First Lieutenant and served as such until the close of the war. He returned home and died at Jefferson, Texas. The date of his death is not known.

J. E. Bennett was transferred to the 9th Texas Infantry Regiment in 1863. His residence is unknown.

Jacob Blanton was discharged by reason of overage at the reorganization of the army in May, 1862. Date of death is not known.

W. N. Bryant returned home on furlough near the close of the war and was killed in Red River County in 1867 by a party charged with theft of horse.

THE WADDELLS, TEELS AND OTHERS

Mr. G. W. Waddell, the son of William Mansell Waddell and wife, Amanda Jane Oliver Waddell, came to Red River County in 1858, Mr. Waddell coming from Arkansas, and his wife coming from Tennessee.

William M. Waddell volunteered and joined the Confederate Army in 1862. He was killed at the Battle of Iuka, Miss., September, 1862. To William Waddell and wife three children were born, all of whom are still living: Sarah, Sue and G. W. Waddell. Miss Sarah married Joe P. Mabry, Miss Sue married T. T. Wren, and G. W. married Miss Fannie Frances Grant.
