Example Muster Roll

Or rather, a sample of an example muster roll of Capt. William Becknell's Company, mustered into service July 14, 1836. (Transcription of roll.) The signature on the roll is believed to be Capt. Becknell's as it is the same as his signature on the back of Republic Debt Certificate 4149, 2nd Class, for payment received.
